The area, bounded by Queen Street West (north), Front Street (south), Yonge Street (east and University Avenue (west), is the main financial district in the city and forms the heart of Canada’s finance industry. It offers easy and convenient access to the rest of the city with transport links concentrated around Union Station with commuter rail and bus links as well as the GO Transit system.
And, while the skyline above ground is dominated by bank towers, the area is connected by Toronto’s world-leading system of underground walkways (the PATH) lined with shopping and food establishments. The PATH offers access to over 30 kilometres of subterranean shopping, cafes, and restaurants and connects to five subway stations, six hotels, over 50 office towers and most major attractions in the area. The neighbourhood also offers a range of excellent restaurants and eateries, coffee shops and lunch spots along with a selection of pubs, bars, lounges, and nightclubs.
